What to Do During Your Second Trimester

If you think that the 1st trimester of your pregnancy was a breeze except for the constant need to go to the restroom and the morning sickness, then you will love the second trimester. The second trimester does seem to be the smoothest for the soon to be mom, but it doesn’t mean that you should relax. There are still many things to do in order to ensure a healthy, happy baby.

So before you start thinking of Italian baby names for your newborn, remember to cover the basics before anything else. Tracking your baby’s growth is an important and fun way to pass the time. You can measure your stomach or have your doctor do it for you so you know if your baby is growing properly. By now, you can even hear your baby’s heartbeat so keep checking for that as well. Also, this is when the baby will start to kick. The first time can be rather exciting, but it will keep doing this from twenty weeks all the way to nine months so try to get used to it. Routine lab tests are also encouraged just to make sure you are getting the right nutrition in your body to sustain the both of you. Other than that, enjoy the easiest trimester of your pregnancy.
