There are a number of benefits of using LED cabinet lights compared to incandescent lights. Some people prefer to buy incandescent lights because they are less expensive.

The initial purchase price of such lights is usually lesser than the price of buying LED lights. However, over the long run, the LED lights might be cheaper. These lights are considered to have an efficiency of around eighty percent. In other words, only twenty percent of the electricity is turned into heat energy. The rest is turned into light energy.

Such is not the case with incandescent lights. The lights only make use of twenty percent of electricity to produce light energy. The rest is burned away as heat energy. Apart from the benefit of high efficiency, some LED string lights can be used up to an estimate of one hundred thousand hours. In the case of incandescent lights, the bulbs may only last for five thousand hours or so.

In other words, you may end up spending more money to replace the incandescent lights over the long run compared to LED lights. Apart from the cost of buying the lights, there is the time and energy spent for purchase and replacement of the lights.
